How to check your iOS version and why it matters

Short answerOpen Settings › General › About and look at iOS Version. Features can depend on it.
Apps and features often need a minimum iOS version.
Check it
- Open Settings.
- Tap General, then About.
- Look at iOS Version and Model Name.
Update it
- Go to Settings, General, Software Update.
- Charge your phone and connect to Wi-Fi.
- Back up before major updates.
Not every feature is on every phone
Even on the same iOS version, features can differ by model.
